In a few short weeks, we will be preparing our Oasis Courtyard as a centering space for parishioners and for the many visitors who pass our downtown corner.

“It’s amazing what happens in the garden in the evening,” says a Calvary volunteer who tends the garden daily. “People walk down the street, looking around — sometimes, they’re lost. They are so grateful for connection.  I’ve helped people find their cars when they can’t remember where they parked, and given them directions to restaurants. People also linger here. They sit in our colored chairs, just to be. They love the windows, the benches, the ambience.”

Our corner of the world is unique. If you see an unfamiliar face in the courtyard or inside the church, reach out. Ask where they’re from, what brings them to Calvary. You never know what their journeys have been and how Calvary might have helped them along the way.
