Adult Education

Calvary's education hour meets in Crawford Hall from 10 to 11 a.m. on scheduled Sunday's during our program year.  The Adult forum is an opportunity for parishioners to expand their understanding of a range of issues and topics, viewed through the lens of faith.

Presenters at the forum come from the congregation, diocese and local community. Topics are suggested by parishioners.

These informal conversations take place throughout the year at 10 a.m. on Sundays, as announced.  Conversations are facilitated by faith formation team leaders, and explore questions or concerns relevant to how we live out our faith.

Small Groups

"Small groups" range in size from six to 12 people, meet once or twice a month, and follow a very general format of study, prayer, and fellowship. They provide a spiritual community within our larger parish community, nurturing participants and helping them grow in knowledge and faith.

At Calvary, small groups vary in their focus:

  • The Benedictine Way is dedicated to discovering balance in life through prayer, study of the Gospels and St. Benedict's Rule, and community gathering. The Benedictine Way group meets on the 4th Sunday of the month from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm in the Larson Room.
  • The Wednesday Morning Small Group consists of mothers seeking support and guidance in their busy lives as well as spiritual growth.
  • Prayer Posse
