Pastoral Care
Clergy and laity at Calvary share the responsibility for pastoral care. It sometimes comes from a group organized for a particular ministry; sometimes it’s simply a telephone call, a note, a visit, or a meal.
Clergy and lay Eucharistic ministers take communion to homebound parishioners. Other volunteers cook meals for those with new babies and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one and still, others gather in intentional prayer. The Rector makes routine home and hospital pastoral visits as needed. Supporting one another through life’s ups and downs is a central part of being together as the body of Christ. Pastoral Care is offered to parishioners and to those visiting the Mayo Clinic.
Our mission is to support all on their journey toward a deeper relationship with God, one another, and all Creation through worship, reflection, fellowship, and outreach.
