(aka Eat, Compete, and Dress Up)
Fall is in the air, and it is time for Calvary’s annual Stone Throw. This tradition started with Bishop Whipple many millennia ago (or so the myth goes). Come and see if you are the parishioner who will throw the stone the farthest this year. There will be three contestant categories: Men, Women, and Children (under the age of 12).
And that’s not all! We are excited to announce that we will be serving homemade scones with coffee, cider, and hot chocolate.
But wait, there’s more! It is the Sunday before Halloween, so we encourage you to wear your Halloween costume to eat, compete, and of course attend the 8:30 or 10:30 service.
Many thanks to the Mueller family for organizing the Stone Throw. If you would like to contribute a dozen homemade scones, email Cindy Heins at heins.cynthia@gmail.com.
