Rev. Beth recently received a letter from a woman in Chicago who last summer attended one of our Monday healing services. In the letter, the woman explained that she came to Mayo Clinic seeking an explanation for her chronic cough, wheezing and breathlessness that began suddenly and worsened over two years. Despite countless tests, procedures and in-patient care in Chicago, she had no diagnosis.

At Mayo, the letter writer said, she had “over 40 different tests” that yielded no results. “Finally, I gave up and came to your healing service,” she said. “The Lady Minister put her hand over my head and blessed me while I cried, thinking that probably I will go back home empty-handed, never getting an answer to my health issue. But the next day, my luck changed.”

That day, the test results for parasitic infection came back — and they were positive. “It might sound bad, but it gave me an answer which nobody could ever give,” the writer said. “It was a treatable infection. Taking medicine now and healing.”

She ended by saying, “Mayo, your church’s healing energy, and blessings gave me what I could not get for such a long time. Thank you.”
